Tyira -
Our location is Pittsburgh, PA. We got about 6" of water - other parts of
our county got 8". This is the most we have ever gotten. I know the
business that I am trying to "salvage" their hard drive for had the water
rise 21' into their building. Some homes were up to their second floor.
They were standing on their roofs (3 story home;) to be rescued with a
boat. Pure tragedy for some people.
As far as the back up plan - I have a good one (at least we thought) I am
about 20 miles away from this company - I have a copy of their back up at
home - they also have a copy of the backup at the office. We never thought
we both would get hit and loose both of them. Unfortunately, I was at
work when the storm hit - -- so I was not able to make it home to move the
tapes to a higher location and where they were located - you could not get
back into the town once the flooding started. Live and Learn.

Someone asked about the location. Floods recently ravaged the New Hope,
PA./Trenton area. I think they had about a 30-foot rise - worst since
around 1955.
Boy - tornados, lightning, floods.
Take the hint and revamp your data backup procedures and check with your
insurance companies.

If you can get another PC just plug the dry clean hard drive into the
box and see what happens. Make sure that the new PC has enough disk
space to make a copy of your data. I usually have gotten one last copy
before it dies.
If that doesn't work, contact Ontrack.
