For GLJrnDtl table, where does the JEDate come from?

,

Hello,

I have a dashboard that pulls gross margin info for Sales.

I was asked why it doeasn’t match the totals from Chart Tracker.

I looked and Chart tracker date range is based on GLJrnDtl.JEDate field and the Dashboard is based on InvcDtl.ShipDate field.

In order to get them to match I need to figure out how to get the JEDate into my Dashboard to select by.

I found a clunky way by linking InvcDtl to TranGLC to GLJrnDtl.

Doing it this way drags the BAQ down to a slow crawl.

Does the JEDate show anywhere else that is easier to get to or is there a better way to get there?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Is it always off? I am under the impression the JEDate has to do with when the GL transactions were posted… Ship Date is exactly what it says… the “ship date” from the shipment (Pack) which is the date in which the shipment was created - which is editable. We invoice everything we ship and post it the same day so our dates match. I was wondering if it’s a process related thing maybe?

I think it may also be the InvcHead.ApplyDate. See if that matches Chart Tracker.

did you verify that none of the invoice transaction types are “MIS” as those will be included in chart tracker but not on your SGM
