Hello Rob,
Thanks for the reply. I added the customer table to my FKV. I was
looking for a better understanding of creating the statements used by
the form event wizard. The tool guide gives an example without any
explanation. I end up creating 2 row rules using the customer type
field i.e. turn this field red for Prospect type customers, or making it
invisible for Customer type customers. I was really looking for a dialog
box containing more information than just the customer type to appear. I
called Vantage support about using a BPM, I was told that there was no
link between the sales order entry process and the customer table.
I moved from Vantage 5.0 to 8.404A so all this stuff is pretty new to
me. How do I perform the steps you outlined? Is it documented anywhere?
Thanks,
Dan Shallbetter

This should be easy to accomplish as a customization. (I suspect also
effectively done via BPM.)
What table did you add as an FKV? (Have you verified the field joins are
good - and all custom assemblies to support that table's adapter have
been added?)

I added a foreign key to the sales order entry screen and now using a
form wizard I want to display a message if Customer Type = "PRO" "
Prospect Check Customer Master before entering order" Where do I find
the proper syntax for the above statement to use for the event heading
code?. The tools guide gives an example without any explanation. Would
it better to attempt this using a BPM? I tried without any luck.
Probably due to my lack of experience.
Thanks,
Dan
