Fresh 8.03 install

As long as it is a test server, you can run 8.03.4xx and 9.04.xxx both on 10.1C - this avoids admin service port problems too with 2 different versions of OE installed

Create your Epicor share folder. Run the 9.04 install dvd and install 10.1C to Epicor\oe101b (rename the folder in the install path dialog)
Patch it up to SP4 and HF22

Install 8.03.4xx

Install 9.04.xxx from install dvd and be sure to point the dialog that wants to know where OE is installed to the Epicor\oe101b folder

I have a test server running this way and have not seen any issues

I am trying to setup a fresh Vantage 8.03.400 install on a new server to test converting to 9, however only noticed that I have a Open Edge 10.0b disk but we are on 10.1b. It's been a while and don't remember if there was a disk for it or if we just patched up - looked at Epicor's download site and all they have available are service packs. Can anyone help I am confused?
Hi Derek,

10.1B ~should~ be on the 8.03 install disc. At least, thats where my copy is.

Leslie,

That sounded familiar however, I just checked my Epicor Vantage Version 8.03 disk and it says 10.0B

Hi Derek,

Thats odd. I wonder if your install disk is for 8.03.305 or 8.03.400 (mine is
for 8.03.400). 10.1B is a new install, though, so your disk must be somewhere :)
