On Friday, it’s EpiUsers Frideas Day! Have you been to the Epicor Ideas Portal recently? If so, are there some ideas you want to encourage other users to vote for? Maybe want to add comments to an existing idea?
Going to kick this off with four of my Ideas I’m trying to get votes for.
As many companies use credit cards for purchases for various reasons (buyer protection, points, cash back, etc.), formalizing this process will support the companies that use cards for purchasing without it feeling like a “hack.” Extend the Expense Entry program to indicate whether a purchase was done with a company credit card vs an employee’s card and handle the payment appropriately.
Kinetic Membership has its privileges. What’s in your ERP?

@aosemwengie1, do you mind expanding on this one? Are you looking to see what menus INCLUDE a specific applied layer? Or are you looking for controls within a layer? Not overly well versed in customizing Classic, I may not know what I’m missing since I pretty much started my customizing with all my eggs in the Kinetic basket.
When I am in application studio, I want to have a simple way to get from a single published layer to see where it exists on the menu. So whether thats a button, right click > open with that executes a menu search, a slideout, or whatever.
I think Epicor is going to say, that is what the upgrade configuration dashboard is for. But it doesn’t actually tell you the right answer about what is on the menu. And it doesn’t show you where it is on the menu.
They may also say, build it. But application studio home is one of the screens we do not have the ability to customize ourselves.
Just for spits and giggles, I threw an EDI one in…something we ran into during implementation. Kinetic didn’t have base functionality for several documents (routing, POS, pricelist)…so it took time and money to build inside and outside of Kinetic.
I know there aren’t a lot of ECM Users here, but those who aren’t you never know you may (should ) be in the future and I am sure you will agree this is a must. It would certainly be useful to me. Please give it a vote!
I know this doesn’t cover all aspects of the Idea but Epicor have accepted a Problem for Job Tracker where UD field data is not displaying in landing page.
