On Friday, it’s EpiUsers Frideas Day! Have you been to the Epicor Ideas Portal recently? If so, are there some ideas you want to encourage other users to vote for? Maybe want to add comments to an existing idea?
Just realized this wasn’t kicked off yet, for the week!
Recommendation for posting. When we paste the URL in directly, the text is generic. In order to gain more votes, consider the markdown format:
[Description of Idea - Idea #](https://epicor.ideas.aha.io/ideas/KIN-I-####)
This way, people see at a glance what the Idea is about and might be more likely to click to see what it is about.

The easiest way to do it is paste the title, highlght it, click the link button, and then paste the url.

Is there a way to paste/add the link so it opens in a new tab by default on these pages? I imagine there is but I just don’t know if it’s something that’s within my control.

Agreed, it is pretty annoying it takes over the browser window.

No idea if something can be added to the link to force a new tab/window.
In Chrome (at least) press Ctrl-click a link will open it in a new tab. Also Shift-click opens a new window.

I know it’s possible, I can also right click and select the open in a new tab. I guess my issue is I forget to and then get frustrated that I am forgetful and need to navigate back. It would be nice if it was the default for the Frideas threads.

I’ve always clicked the scroll wheel on the link to open a new tab.
Likewise, click the scroll wheel on the icon in the task bar to open a second instance of the program (any program).
On tabs, the scroll wheel will close the tab though - so quite the opposite effect.

Since I’m working in SSRS today I’ll remind everyone of the idea to replace SSRS.
Replace Tired SSRS Reports with a more modern tool

Since I’m working in Kinetic today…wait…better not go there.
I’ll throw mine in just for spits and giggles.

Yeah, got cocky. HOWEVER, when I click on an external link, it DOES open a new tab for me.

Also, for internal or external links, you can always do a context click:
Which I use to open a bunch on links from Search.

I feel like I’m obligated at this point considering my blundering around w/ @klincecum earlier this week surrounding this issue.
Voted! (Finally)
