On Friday, it’s EpiUsers Frideas Day! Have you been to the Epicor Ideas Portal recently? If so, are there some ideas you want to encourage other users to vote for? Maybe want to add comments to an existing idea?
Bring back the Paste Insert for criteria in BAQ (50 votes, Gauging Interest)
In 2024.1 (SaaS) it says it’s there, there is a Paste Update option in the right-click AND on the overflow menu, but nothing happens when you select it.
At least I can’t get it to work. Is there a specific incantation required?
And while you wait you can help me improve this extension by testing the calculator functionality I’m still trying to learn how to screw up manipulate the DOM from an extension do something useful and cool! Also it brings back right click paste
I’m currently testing/working on upgrading to 2024.1 and found–as another user commented on that Idea–that if you first add the number of rows that you’re pasting, then it will accept the Paste Update. Tedious, but slightly better than add row, input, add row, input, add row, input… until you have them all in.
I wrote already when this was discussed for the first time that this is working in 2024.2
I just selected Paste New for the empty grid and added rows successfully.
And it was working before just with Paste Update.
So I think in 2024.1 there is some transient bug in grid internals that was fixed at some point.
We can now use a BAQ in another BAQ, right (haven’t tried that yet myself)? At least in some cases that should be an alternative option that sounds like possibly better option than 100s of criteria rows.
There may be other options considering how you find those 857 part numbers to begin with. If you can set a UD field, add a Data Tag, or fill a UD Table then you can query them directly without Input Values.
sorry to say, we dont have a status between “Gauging Interest” and “In Development”… since this is no yet in development, it needs to stay in its current status. we see the votes, but we also have other priorities that need to be finished before we can get to some of this good stuff.
