FRX and AFR? Blank Title 112317

With regards to FRX and AFR the spec set import functionality only appears to work from the last version of FRX (I think that is SP12 or 13) which is available from Microsoft (search the downloads and you will find it).

However depending on how good your FRX specsets are in the first place will determine what the imported result is like. Needless to say when we did it the time to step through every problem resulted in rebuilding them from scratch.

I was dissapointed when we finally arrived at that stage after importing the spec sets. All I can say if anyone goes down this route be prepared for rework of your reports.

Currently have financial reports in Vantage 8 that have 5 digit numbers (last row is 14400 and when you try to add a new one it errors out) and don't have FRX to modify them. Trying to get Epicor support and our CAM to let me know how to modify these reports since he says FRX is what I need but it isn't available anymore? He said go to 9 and use AFR. We plan on upgrading to 9.04 this fall. When I look in epiweb it is for 9.05???

James, I'm currently evaluating 9.05.xxx). It's true that you have to go to 9.05.xxx in order to use AFR and it is licensed separately. You also have to have SQL Server 2008 (if you are SQL - not sure about Progress). Get the checkbook out...
