Functions lost due to upgrade

I checked the licenses and sure enough there are two Data Collections listed. I had not done the "other" one - probably not noticing the difference when I first set it up. I added the code but it seemed to have had no effect. So I did a stop/restart the DB and the Admin service (might not have needed both) and that did it. I am now playing around with setting up a user to account association so I can play with it. Thanks for the suggestion on the license.

We've set a meeting for a week form tomorrow to compare notes. I am
preparing for some serious flaming. On the other hand I am hoping
some of the screen customizations will allow some streamlining. ..but
this means there will be a LOT of work to do before going live
someday.

Well one I can tell you right off the bat that my financial users are up in arms about is the ability to scale and print a financial report to page. I know Epicor is working on this but be prepared to export if you have more than a handful of columns.

What is the big impact for us:

RUNPROG from VBForms is gone. (along with all of the vb.i functions).
None of our UD/UD-custom progress windows work and Menu Structure Maintenance doesn't list .r,.w or .p as allowable programs. Doesn't seem like you can run progress apps within Vantage 8.x, needs to be written in .NET?
Report Builder gone (but that is a Progress issue, not Epicor).
Labor Collector/Gateway is gone.

I am surprised that this post is about a half hour old and no one has
mentioned the loss of Report Builder! Granted it's not the best
reporting tool, but when you have literally dozens of reports run
daily, weekly, monthly and annually, the switch to 8.0 will be a bit
painful in replacing those with a Crystal or Dashboard/BAQ equivalent.

Other items:
Price Breaks in 6.1 become price lists in 8.0. After much agony in
testing, I've found that (at leat for my db) the best approach here
is to delete what comes over from 6.1 and using an export from 6.1
paste in anew.

The Methods master is greatly revised with respect to Work Centers
and operations which become resource groups and resources. Many of
mine will be deleted and re-entered.

And another item that could send users into a turmoil, the Print
Screen by F6 in 6.1 does not work in 8.
