Fw: standard cost

That's true, and at that point your costs should match the costs that you
had in Classic. Isn't that what you wanted?

The boxes are pull as and view as assembly. When left unchecked, they
appear as material.

I have a question in which I hope someone can help.

We are currently loading part masters and BOMs into Vantage 4.0 from Classic. Since most of our business is repetitive, we are building everything to stock and shipping from stock. When doing a cost roll up, I noticed something different pertaining to standard costs for assemblies when comparing costs from Vantage to Classic. The component costs matched fine. However the assembly cost was divided out differently between material, labor and burden. Here is an example:

Part No. 78-8130, assembly
Material Labor Burden Total
Classic: 5.1442 .3846 .6284 6.1572
Vantage: 3.97307 .79944 1.38536 6.15787

This part consists of 2 components with the following costs:
Material Labor Burden Total
78-8140 3.19397 .34667 .64853 4.18917
78-8150 .77910 .06797 .10823 .95530

The operations for the assembly include welding and drilling. The components are set up in BOM as material, both pull as and view as. Can anyone help me understand why these are different? If you need more information, please let me know. Thanks!

Uncheck the Pull As box and it will treat the assembly as material.

Kathleen, we don't have any boxes checked. The problem must be something

I confused. You say below that your "components are set up in the BOM as
material, both pull as and view as."
