General Ledger Report Opening Balance 0

Hi Everybody,

The new year 2017 is year and now are Opening Balance is displaying 0. This has never happened before, but would like to know why this is happening now.

All other balances seem to be accurate, and all accounts from 12/2016 report the correct result.

Thank you for the response, but I do not have that option. My general operations only includes:

Close Fiscal Period, Journal Entry, Chart Tracker, and Journal Tracker.

mmm… then it is a security issue, Try it with a system manager account… Running that process is an important part of the Year End Process…

Strange. I am logged in as the system admin and still do not see that box.

Can you find it in the menu maintenance utility?

It may have some special security on it.

This is Vista 8.03.410

I didn’t think to look at the Maintenance Menu, but there is no menu for that tool. Just the menus I described.

Try looking in Close Fiscal Period process under Actions. You’re looking for something that says “Transfer Opening Balances to New Year”. Or maybe in Setup under Book Maintenance.
