I agree with Rob that there are a number of variables to consider.
We are a small company and my settings are scheduled to run a "Regen" at 4:00 AM and then I run a "Net Change" at 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. The Buyer doesn't need to worry about running it, but also has the option if they are aware of new items creating demand and they don't want to wait for the next scheduled run.
At my previous employer, which was much larger, my schedule was basically the same, but I added a second run in the AM and a second run in the PM.
Either way, schedule it as a process so the Buyer doesn't need to worry about it.
