GL Detailed transactions

Mike, Vantage always produces GL transaction detail. This is not something you have to turn on or off

I am a new IT guy within our ogranziation who will be administering our Vantage (8.03) system in the near future and our CFO has requested that we "turn on" detailed transactions specifically relating to the GL. I would like to know PROs/CONs of doing this and what is the process in Vantage for "turning" on this feature? Thanks in advance for any direction you can lead me.
