If you are on 905.600 this was a bug fixed in 601 from memory.

Subject: [Vantage] GL Entry Error



When attempting to create a journal entry line for a financial period
earlier than the one we are currently in, the message below is received. The
group and header can be successfully created and saved, but the line will
give this error when you try to save it.
