GL Import utility -for importing GL Journal entries

Actually, no. The Master File Import utility from custom programming is not a safe way to do this. However, custom programming does make a specific tool for GL Journal Import. The price list from Perspectives lists it as $1,500.

Also, what version are you on? The Templates, Tools, and Reports are available for versions 5.1 and 5.2. If you're on a different version, they'll have to give you a quote for the custom work. You can contact the custom programming group at <custprog@...>

We just issued a P.O. for the P.M. Import utility. I'll let you know if it
covers GL accounts.

I've never heard of any kind of import tool for GL Journal Entries. A
risky option would be using ODBC, but you would REALLY have to know your
stuff, I would think to make that work cleanly. Epicor sells an
Import/Export utility for around $2,500 which has expanded access to
various tables in Vantage, but whether it touches the GLJournal tables, I
have no clue.

Has anyone had any experience with importing journal entries into
Vantage GL? Are there any import utilities out there that anyone has
seen or heard of that can do this?

Not that I've heard of. There are the regular Account Allocations and
Recurring Entries you can set up, if those would be of some help.
