GL Transaction Detail Tracker

I believe it can only be accessed from a right-click on the invoice (but it can be done anywhere you see the invoice #).Â

When we open an invoice with the GL Transaction Detail Tracker in 702, the tracker is not displaying any GL details for that invoice.  Does anyone know if there is any pre-existing conditions on the invoice in order to display the information in the tracker correctly.  We are not able to get the tracker to display any invoices.

I am pretty sure there was a fix for this I had to get from support.

Hmmm…I was told by support this was fixed in 10 and I was out of luck on 9.05.702A.  Can you confirm you actually received a fix for this?

I am not sure it is the same thing since I am not a finance person - unfortunately, we switched email applications in January and I can’t seem to locate whatever it was that tech support had sent me for instructions. I seem to remember I had to add something to the processes in Menu Maintenance (I looked up my call on the epicweb and it just states: “Emailed attached page to Sarah” (but there is no attachment on the call on epicweb)  My original call was  1659963PSC titled “How to manually add the missing GL Transaction Tracker”.  Sorry I don’t have more info on exactly what it was.

 

Oh, it worked for us ->Â we can see the GL transaction details in the tracker for our invoices on 9.05.702A.

I am not sure. I remember on the AR invoice side when we upgraded we did have an issue with the GL transactions actually not getting created, but I believe that issue was only on converted Sales orders that has full advances against them. Once those were all cleared out we have not had any issues as far as I know. Are you looking at AR invoices or AP invoices?

AP Invoices. We open up Supplier Tracker, retrieve all invoices for that supplier and do a right click on the invoice to open the GL Transaction Detail Tracker. Once opened, there are no details related to that invoice. From what the user is saying, if there is a PO associated to that invoice, then it displays the detail correctly but I haven’t been able to verify this.

I am not sure.  I remember on the AR invoice side when we upgraded we did have an issue with the GL transactions actually not getting created, but I believe that issue was only on converted Sales orders that has full advances against them.  Once those were all cleared out we have not had any issues as far as I know.  Are you looking at AR invoices or AP invoices?

I was looking at AR invoices. I just went into AP invoices. I pulled up a few and they seem fine. I checked some with PO's, some without a PO but with a receipt, and some without a PO or a receipt, just a misc invoice. They all opened with the GL transaction detail tracker. If you go into the invoice thru invoice tracker and go to GL transactions, can you see the transactions there?

Yes, in Invoice Tracker the GL details are displayed there. That is the workaround to view the details. We would expect all invoices to be displayed if there are GL details. Is there any other way to access the GL Detail Tracker besides right clicking into the invoice in Supplier Tracker?

I was looking at AR invoices.  I just went into AP invoices.  I pulled up a few and they seem fine.  I checked some with PO’s, some without a PO but with a receipt, and some without a PO or a receipt, just a misc invoice.  They all opened with the GL transaction detail tracker. If you go into the invoice thru invoice tracker and go to GL transactions, can you see the transactions there?

AP Invoices.  We open up Supplier Tracker, retrieve all invoices for that supplier and do a right click on the invoice to open the GL Transaction Detail Tracker.  Once opened, there are no details related to that invoice.  From what the user is saying, if there is a PO associated to that invoice, then it displays the detail correctly but I haven’t been able to verify this.

I am not sure.  I remember on the AR invoice side when we upgraded we did have an issue with the GL transactions actually not getting created, but I believe that issue was only on converted Sales orders that has full advances against them.  Once those were all cleared out we have not had any issues as far as I know.  Are you looking at AR invoices or AP invoices?
