You may not have noticed a “new” feature.
Someone in development thought it was a good idea to automatically hide blocked revisions from the tree.
To unhide them you have to search specifically for them to be shown.
Considering that the GL Transaction (Posting rules) is a maintenance process that is rarely used, hiding things is not a great idea.
But when you are developing a revision, you may want to go back to the blocked version to use it as your base.
After creating a new active revision, blocked revisions are not shown in the tree view anymore.
You need to manually search for the revisions for them to show in the tree view.
In GL Transaction Type screen, select the transaction type you created the new revision for.
Can you tell me where to find the GL Transaction Type form? I have a menu item that ties to the Classic version of the GL Transaction Type form, which I have to go to after every software update, since at least one of my processed always ends up inactive.
I have not been able to find the Kinetic version of the form for a while, and I’m concerned that eventually my classic form will no longer work.
If the Classic version has been customized then it can only open in Classic. If the Kinetic version has been removed from the menu then it will need to be re-added, or if it’s security access has been changed then someone will need to update that. But be aware the Kinetic version will NOT be the customized screen you’re used to, it will be the default Kinetic screen.
We have not customized the Classic form, just added a menu item that points to it. We did the same thing with menu maintenance, added a menu item that opens the classic version, and I can still see both the classic and the Kinetic Menu Maintenance forms.
In earlier versions of Kinetic, I could see both versions of the GL Transaction Type form. I am the system administrator, so security access is not the issue.
I will open a case with support to see if they can help me find the missing menu item.
