I need to set up global alerts to work on Terminal Server. It works no
problem on the LAN, but connecting via Terminal Server it does not work.
After selecting Send Alert and hitting the "To" button to browse, I receive
the following error -- "Not able to access the Mail Server."
I thought installing Outlook on the Terminal Server session, would fix the
problem. However, I get the following message when I attempt to install MS
Outlook 2000:
Some default settings in Microsoft Outlook 2000 setup do not work properly
on a Windows Terminal Server. To install Outlook on Terminal Server, you
must use the instructions and tools available in your Office 2000 Resource
Kit of at http://www.microsoft.com/Office/ORK/
<http://www.microsoft.com/Office/ORK/> .
Before I hit Microsoft, I thought that perhaps somebody has already
encountered and fixed this problem.
