Has anyone ever been successful in linking a 2nd table to any of the Grid Line List Views? I am specifically looking to do so in Sales Order Entry. We are on Vantage 8.03.409A. Thank you for your assistance.
Can you be more specific? What are you trying to accomplish.
You can create your own class and join the elements there to a bounding list
then bind that to the grid view...

You can also do that thoruhg a BAQ, BAQ contains the fields from both tables
you want to show then bind the BAQ results to the Grid View

I have some "Part Characteristic UDF's" being used in the Part and OrderDtl tables. The Line List View currently will only allow me to point to any fields in the OrderDtl table. Some of the fields beind used are pre-filled, some are not and some can be either depending on the part being used. We have a spreadsheet setup with the fields we need that the end-user will fill out and then Past Insert into the List View. The end result would be all of the fields are present in the list view with data that is either pre-filled or entered from the spreadsheet.

I also saw you mentioned using a BAQ to create a new list view. Would the list view work the same, meaning data can be pasted into it or manually manipulated?

Thanks for your help!

For that you would need an unpalatable BAQ not available until 9.5
But writing your own code you can accomplish it. Basically u need to create
your methods for handling the inserts so that it knows what to do with the
extra data
