Handheld customisations

Thanks for the reminder.

Because it was properly lined up on the PC screen (single screen) I thought it was fine, but no, the 0,0 is required for the device. It looks odd on the PC screen up in the top corner, but works thankfully on the device.

Again, much thanks.

- Neil

We have customised some handheld screens. They work without any issues in the normal PC client, in the Handheld Demo etc. However on our test Motorola 9090 they open but are invisible.

To explain, when you go into a customised screen the device can "see" the screen but the user cannot. It may be invisible or perhaps behind the menu screen. Keystrokes impact the invisible screen and the screen you can see is "locked" until you exit (esc) the other.

The location (X:Y) of the customised screens is exactly the same as the non-customised ones.

Any suggestions from similar (bitter) experiences would be appreciated...

Thanks,

Not sure what customizations you performed, but if you did them on a PC with
2 monitors, it's possible that you moved the screen (and subsequently saved
it) on the slave monitor (not your primary monitor). When this happens,
users without 2 monitors (incl the HH devices) will see the screen launch,
however, it appears "invisible" as you say because it's live on the "slave
monitor" and saved there. Epicor/Vantage/.NET isn't intelligent enough to
ascertain a single monitor configuration when something was customized on a
dual monitor setup.

I always develop and save my customizations on my primary monitor.
