Handhelds Blank Title 103833

I have a problem with one of my shop employees ID on the handheld. When he clicks on material management on the handheld, then Inventory process then move inventory he cannot access that screen. he has access to everything but on the handhled it just gets stuck there. it has happened before and i just delete his username and create a new one but its getting out of hand right now. anyone has experienced this? I am on 8.03.409C

Is there any way to install a version of the Epicor Client onto a handheld?
We are currently just using RDP and going to it from there, but it would be
cool to install directly on the Windows Mobile 6.5 device.

Thanks
>RDP and going to it from there,
I remember this coming up recently.
An Epicior rep said that handheld devices lack the horsepower.
You may find a way to install it, but it will be very slow.

So they recommended RDP or the Web interface.

Are you using the checkmark on the handheld TS client "fit to screen" before you connect?

Sorry, taking my regular IT approach here. Did you just close the TS connection and restart it, check and connect again? Or did you log out of the Terminal session before? If you did not log out of the terminal session (ie you still see it in the TS manager) the screen size will not change, even with the setting checked. Until the session is logged out the setting will not take effect.

Trying to think of the obvious answers first that I know I have missed in the past.

Did you ever get the answer for this?

I am having the same issue with Intermec CK71 handhelds. Epicor told me to customize the screen size but there is a bug that won't allow the customizations to stick. Apparently, not enough people have this issue for them to escalate it. I'm curious if there's a different way to set up the program on the Terminal Server.

Basically you need to use a hack. We were able to get the MC55A0 running correctly using the hacked file here.

I have the CK71 on a dock connecting to the files from MS ActiveSync. I can't actually open the .exe to edit it. Did you have trouble getting to that point? My vendor won't assist me since I'm trying to change the system files even though they don't have any viable options to help me fix this issue. You are the first person to come up with anything.

Hey guys,

I got this document when we configured our CK71's. It may address the
problem you are having.
We also had to downgrade our version of WM because of problems with the RDP
showing a grid lines on the display.

I am not sure what you mean by "opening the .exe to edit it." We simply replaced the window remote mobile program with the version from the code project link. I am fuzzy on how I did this but I think I just copied the file onto the handheld and then set a shortcut for it. The hacked file is basically a downgraded version of the remote desktop mobile program that deals with the resolution problem.

We had some trouble with one of our handhelds needing to be resized. In the handheld.mfgsys file we altered the Scale Value setting to 1.8. This worked for that model (don't recall model as we ended up going with a different one but it was an intermec).

Here is the segment in the file:
<AutoScaleMode value="None" options="None|Dpi" />
<!-- Determines how theming is applied.
if Value="None" then no theme is loaded.
if Value="Default" then the default theme from the server is loaded.
if Value="ThemeName.isl", then theme with name=ThemeName is loaded from the server.
if Value="Path\ThemeName.isl", then theme with name=ThemeName is loaded from specified path.-->
<Style value="Default" options="SpecifyName|None|Default" />
<Scale value="1.8" />
<ContextMenuNestingLevel value="0" />

********/
