Help Files 5.1

My experience was that this error "Unable to open help file" happened when
an NT workstation had opened the help file. I did make the Vantage help
file read only-but it didn't work until I did it with all of the
workstations (except three data collections) down. Then I quit getting the
error.

Do You have any Custom code?? Vantage usually
recommends that you but all custom work in a "Custom"
folder and modifying the ProPath in the Vantage.ini
file to point there first. You may have success if
you move the Help folder under the Custom folder.

I've got a handful of units that can't use the Help Screens. The
error message reads:

"Cannot display this help file. Try opening the help file again,
and if you still get this message, copy the help file to a different
drive, and try again."

Reinstall of just Vantage Client does not correct this. Has anybody
seen this?

Yes. I'm running 4.00.904 but have had similar
problems. Usually, it's someone sitting with the Help
open and minimized (sometime 2 and 3 copies)

Try making your Vantage Help folder read only. It
solved the problem for me.
