Hope this helps.

1. Materials Management - Inventory Management-General Operations -
Receipts from Mfg
2. Enter Job # to receive parts to stock from Job A
3. Click on Receive then select inventory from drop down menu
4. Click on magnifying glass next to assembly #.
5. Select the assembly to be received
6. Enter quantity to be received in quantity field
7. Select Warehouse and Bin location

This puts the assembly / sub assembly in stock.

Next

1. Materials Management-Inventory Management-General
Operations-Issues/Receipts
2. Click on Assembly tab under the issue heading.
3. Enter the job # the assembly / sub-assembly is to be issued to
4. Select the assembly/sub-assembly to be issued
5. Enter the quantity to be issued
6. Make sure to select proper warehouse and bin location
7. Click ok.

This should do it.

Thanks for the help to date. I am still a bit unclear however on what
module
I use to move this material from one job to another? Does anyone have a
step
by step procedure sheet I could review showing the modules used and steps
that need to be taken? Thanks in advance.

Please, please, please help.................. How do I move assemblies &
sub-assemblies from one job to another? What steps are involved? Thank-you
in advance.

Paul,

You could make the source job a template then do a get details in the
target job pointing it to the source job template.

You can receive the assembly or sub-assembly into stock from the current
job, then issue out to the next job as an assembly instead of as material.

Or set it up to be made directly and save a movement transaction (and
not require the part to exist in the part file).
