One method that would cover you when a part was made from the part
maintenance screen (keep in mind parts can be created from other methods
such as quotes, and I haven't investigated this any further) would be on
method part.update condition would be number of rows in the 'Query'
query 'is not less than 1' . In the compose query dialogue box give the
query a name and type or paste the following
For each ttPart where ttPart.RowMod = 'A' no-lock.
You can check the query and then click 'OK'
Under actions choose send email [asynchronously or synchronously] based
on the designed template. You can then of course add content and even
information from various fields at that point. Careful what you wish
for when sending emails with BPM's and/or BAM's, you may get what you
asked for...

Subject: [Vantage] Help with New Part BPM
I need help writing a BPM that will launch an email to a certain user
when a new part is created. I've tried creating a directive off of the
part update method which doesn't work. I'm new to BPM so any help with
this would be appreciated.
