Help with Taining DB

Bob,

Also you may want to use the Backup utility to backup your database then
restore it to the training directory.

I am sure this has been asked by many. I am having some difficulty trying
to create a NEW Training Database. Can I not simply copy the relevant files
into X:\vntgtrn\db (where x is the mapped drive)

I placed a copy of a backed up data into the db directory. (6 files in all)

.b1
.d1
.db
.lg
.st
.lic

When I start up the data base (Procontrol) says it cannot find the
vantage.lk files. I didn't see the lk file in my backup directory nor did I
see it in the original vntgtrn directory.

What I wish to accomplish is to have a copy of our own data in the training
company for testing purposes. Any help would be appreciated.

Bob -

Run the prostrct repair command to fix the db you copied.

Command:
[Physical drive & path to Progress Bin folder]\PROSTRCT repair [physical
drive]\vntgtrn\db\vantage

If you don't already have a copy, the full details for this command are on
Epicor's support site (download files area) for Vantage.
