How do I use the Criteria "Contains" in the BAQ

Though I got my answer to be able to get my data.  I still would like to know how to use the CONTAINS criteria.

use matches and set the constant to *DATA2* or *DATA3*

The UserFile has the Grouplist: DATA1~DATA2~DATA3~DATA4

 

I want to see records with only DATA2 or DATA3.  I thought I could use the CONTAINS, but it doesn’t display anything.  In the pop-up I did DATA2 | DATA 3
