I see that there are numerous posts on how to auto-assign ID’s for records which do not do this “out of the box”, however, I am actually wanting to temporarily disable the auto-assignment of IDs for a table that natively supports auto-assignment of IDs.
We have over 100,000 contacts in our legacy system (DataFlo) which will need to be transferred into Epicor’s PerCon table. Equally important is that we will be creating DMTs for all the other tables which rely on this ID. This includes employees, salesreps, customer /vendor contacts, and some which will end up in UD tables such as our surgeon database. However, we’re finding that because the system does not allow us to supply our own IDs, connecting to the other files which rely on the PerCon ID is exceedingly difficult.
Any thoughts on how we might have more control over the IDs being assigned by DMTs for tables such as PerCon?
