How to get updated system RDD? Anyone currently on 2021.2?

I have some reports that are missing newer calculated fields. The problem is: they are system RDDs - so I can’t edit them. Is see a different task that explains this probably happened when I included system RDDs from a custom report style in a solution and then installed it. Great. I know where I went wrong. How do I fix it, though? Is there an “easy” button?

Any way you can copy the RDD out of a different (updated) environment?

What version are you on?

I’m looking for an updated InspPendReport system RDD. I don’t have any other environments that weren’t copied from our production environment with the faulty RDDs.

I’m on the latest (cloud). I have my doubts whether a solution I build would be importable into a previous version, right?

.cab sent in DM… let us know if it works.

As we learned, it did not work. I wonder if I found someone running 2021.2 and they could try if that might work.

Just redeploy the ssrs reports from your admin console.
Oh wait, maybe that only does the rdls.
Can you create a new demo database and grab them from that?

Good suggestion. I have never done it. But I’m reaching out to our IT team who has previously deployed the different environments.

I am 21.2.10. I will dm it shortly

We tried both a solution .cab and also you can export an RDD in .xml format (via actions menu in RDD Maint.)… didn’t work in our case (assuming version mismatch).

I had do make a duplicate of the RDD so I could export it, but put the system version in a cab.

Mr. Dan: If you look at the error message in the system monitor you should be able to the field missing error.

Just add those missing field names to the RDD Calculated fields. The fields will not be functional - but i’ll bet you don’t need them anyway and your legacy reports will run.

You all rock! Thank you so much. I have restored the system version using the solution and it worked! The solution needed to be from my version I guess.
