I’ve added a UD field to our Order entry screen and I’ve been asked to make it look like the rest of the form. The line detail form is blank and all fields are grayed out when there is no data, e.g. no order has been entered. However my UD field for budget costs is active and you can enter data into it even though there is no sales order selected.
I don’t want anyone to inadvertently add data there. I thought the field would follow the attributes of the form naturally but it doesn’t. I don’t remember a way of changing it. Is it in the extended properties wizard maybe?
Is your text box epibinding bound to your ud column?

Yes, it was bound to the UD field. I found after I exited Epicor and restarted it the fields acted as they should have.
Thanks for your help. Sorry for the delayed response, just busy over here.
