How to mark a PO as Unapproved when using New PO Suggestions-Epi

Forgot to mention that my solution doesn't check the cost - but that should be the easy part

I am trying to figure out how to change a PO from being approved through the "New PO Suggestions, Generate PO" Action menu to unapproved. I really only need to do this if the new PO has no cost on certain parts.

I have been trying to do this through BPMs and have been able to get it to work in the PO.Update BPM when in the Purchase Order Entry screen, but the Generate PO action item does not use this method. I have looked at the POSugg.Generate method, which I think it uses, but there is no POHeader table there.

I know I can probably do this with Service Connect, but was hoping there was an easier way. I am an accountant who does not have any programming background, so if there is programming involved, please be very detailed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Paula
sounds like a potential use of a data directive
