Is there any way to print out a sales order without having the system automatically “confirm” it?
We are using the sales order acknowledgment document… is there some other report that prints the same information?
Is there a way to program an alternate button that doesn’t “confirm” the order? I can’t believe that there is not a “baked-in” solution for this, but here we are…
We have a few people that need to have prints of the Sales Order (rather than just them just going to the screen to see it).
It seems we can’t develop a button to print an alternate version due to the way the system handles the sales order acknowledgment logic…
Please let me know if I need to clarify any of this mess…
This would be related to when you PRINT or PREVIEW an Order, Epicor automatically “confirms” the order and removes the “Not Confirmed” tag from the Order page (below status on the order page), essentially acknowledging the order.
Here is the “Not confirmed” tag on the order screen (some of the other check-boxes are not standard and ours, internally).
Update: we are exploring this now using the “Print Pro-forma” from the overflow rather than the order print preview. This may be the “ticket” as it ignores the confirmation logic…
Here is how we solved this and added a feature that allows us to UNCONFIRM an order acknowledgment:
We created a button specifically for the “Order Preview”
The button pulls from the “Print Pro-Forma” Option in the Order
Created a Custom SRSS Report that is exactly the same as our regular order acknowledgment (Print-Preview) so that the Order Preview is the same
Our developer put an uncofirm order button in so that if one of our specialists accidentally print-previews an order, we can reset the order to “uncofirmed.”
