How to Round Job MTL quantity to Full Sheet

Hello all,

We have a MTL part that has a UOM of EA. The material is purchased and inventoried as EA, which in this case corresponds to a full sheet of steel.

On our routings that use this material, the QTY/Per field is an EA value, i.e., a fraction of a sheet. I would like to be able round up to the next sheet qty on a job if there is a decimal value on a job material qty. For example, if a sheet makes 6 parts and we have a job for 10 parts, I want Epicor to round up to 2 full sheets (or “EA”'s). Is there a straight forward way to accomplish this?

hmmmm…quick question. Will this also round up at the routing level? If one part takes .25 of a sheet (an EA), then I dont want to round up to one sheet there on the BOM. I only want to round up on the job QTY if there is a fraction of a sheet left over.

Not sure what you are asking. We use this setting to make sure that we always issue a full sheet to a job. If the job only takes .25, the router and everything stays the same, it just rounds up the material needed.
