Huge Database Growth

I have seen this behavior when a user was trying to delete a subassembly and was booted out of E9 however the process continued on the system. I killed the session and had to manually shrink the log file.

We just experienced a huge growth in database size at the end of August from 17GB to 31.5GB and our log file is also grown from 321MB to 4.6GB. Has anyone experienced this recently or at all? What is strange to me is that even after doing a backup of the database which should flush the logs, the log file size does not go down.

Did you turn on change logs in Epicor? Doing that on a major table
(orders, jobs, etc) will eat up a lot of space.

And SQL server doesn't shrink log files automatically. You can shrink
it manually if that increase was a one-time event, but not recommended
in general.

We just experienced a huge growth in database size at the end of August
from 17GB to 31.5GB and our log file is also grown from 321MB to 4.6GB.
Has anyone experienced this recently or at all? What is strange to me is
that even after doing a backup of the database which should flush the
logs, the log file size does not go down.
