Subject: [Vantage] IFF Function questions

I need to make a calculation that looks at a character class. If that value
is true then it would return a dollar value. If false, I just want it
blank. I am using the IFF function that looks like this:

IIF(Class = 'TOOL' ,totdeb, value)

The totdeb is a calculated field that returns the price of the tool. The
problem I'm having is that I can't figure out what I need to put in the
value to return a blank. I think it's asking for a numeric value because
the first condition is a numeric value. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jasper

Try ? (question mark). This would set the value as unknown if you don't want it to be zero. Then in case it is used in aggregates (like to find an average or total over a group) check mark "ignore unknowns".
