Importing Parts via Service Connect

This issue was resolved with the help of Daniel Laidig as noted below.
Worked perfect!

After you have created your schema mapping, drag a link from the root
part note on the left to the root part node on the right, while
holding down the ctl key. This should map a dotted blue line. The
dotted line means it is cycling.

Hello - I am new to SC and Vantage for that matter. I am trying to
upload all my parts library into Vantage using Service Connect. I
have created the Workflow and everthing connects properly. However, my
workflow is only uploading one line of my data file(.csv). It doesn't
load the second or the remaining lines. Am I missing something? Thanks!!
When you imported your csv schema file into Service Connect, it has to have
multiple parts. If your original schema only has one line, then it thinks
your csv file will only have a single line.

Another option would be to call it on a subworkflow that cycles through the list.

Its most likely down to the fact that you haven't setup your cycling
properly...

I dont know how your workflow has been written, but I always approach
this with a main and a sub workflow. ( if you just have a single
workflow, I dont think the looping will work ). The main workflow is
configured to call the sub workflow for every part in your csv file.
I usually import from Excel, and it doesn't matter whether there is 1
line or 100 lines in the input file as this information is not held
in the schema.

You should also check your outbound messages to ensure that the
routine has finished without an error.

I hope this helps...

Best regards,

Nick

The service connect student manual page 42.

Note that the Row node is connected to the Part node to ensure that each
row is treated as an individual item.

If this is not done then the sample workshop will only process one
record.
