In process, real-time work instructions and in process data collection

Hi All,

We are looking for a way to combine the ability to display work instructions with inline data captures at a job operation level.

To help visualize, we are looking at inspection plans to combine instructions and visual guides along with capturing inline data required at each step. The challenge with this approach is that you can only (I believe) access these inspection plans, at the operation level, during the End Activity window in MES. Essentially, an operator will need to start activity and then immediately end activity, which, not only feels clunky, but can lead to incorrect data entry and having to end and restart operation.

Has anyone tackled this type of challenge? Any suggested solutions or possible 3rd party addons?

You can access the inspection plan at any time through Inspection Results Entry. You don’t have to wait until end operation to do it. Plus, they don’t have to log into the job.

Thanks John. I did not know that.
However, the information displayed and data collected would need to be related to a specific job operation. Is there a way to bridge the two?
