I am looking to add to Inbound Freight to the cost of my materials. I do not wish to use the Landed Cost option. Who has used a “Freight Adder” type of Cost? I would like to set a certain $ amount of % of materials for this cost.

Thank you

@bziegler
In the landed cost master you can specify the percentage.
Add them in the receipt entry as indirect cost and disburse the landed cost based on VALUE.

There is also a Material burden percentage available at the part level. This will add a freight estimate to certain parts as needed. These estimates can be put to a GL account.

The freight actual expenses can then be pointed a second GL account to give you a overall picture of the estimate vs actual.

The landed cost module will do more that this.
