Hi Ed,
Yes, I'm on 8.03.407 and it was working fine up until we stopped
clocking into jobs.

Funny you should say that - I just found that out too! Does it work in
8.03 to be able to allocate costs in the GL?
Thanks,
Ed

Ed,
You can create indirect labor codes in Job Management / Setup / Indirect
Labor.

Subject: [Vantage] Indirect labor capture
We are attempting to get a handle on the labor activities that are not
attributable to product manufacturing but are still necessary functions
to keep operations running smoothly, like equipment PM, training, etc.
We are toying with setting up a job that has multiple operations that
identify those functions and having employees clock in on that job and
operation while performing the tasks so we can allocate in-direct labor
hours in the GL on a monthly basis.
Does anyone else try to allocate in-direct labor costs and if so, would
you mind sharing how you go about it?
Thanks,
Ed
