Not if you bring a designated walker.

Don’t forget there is a tram that can cut your walk time in half.

If it’s running, last time in Vegas it wasn’t. :upside_down_face:

Depends on how much fun you have. Too much fun makes the trip 10x longer.

@knash I am getting in Sunday late for Monday classes. If it is not 115 I could be up for leaving the MGM.

I can also confirm I will be there, considering I started this post I better be!

Due to the cost of flights I’m going to be there a few days early…So as a Vegas newby suggestions appreciated to fill in a couple of days. (besides gambling and racking out by the pool with a cocktail in hand)

Bring multiple pair of shoes you like to walk in
Grab water/beverages/snacks at the CVS/Walgreens vs at the hotel to save a few bucks

On-Strip/Downtown
Lots of places if you are a foodie-so it depends on what you like
Take in a show or two -
my favorite

Check out each casino for their different attractions;
Bellagio Gardens and Fountains/Shark Reef/Roller Coaster/Eiffel tower/Fremont Experience/
The Linq area with the big wheel is fun.

Off strip
Take a ride in an exotic race car.
Dune buggy ride in the desert
Arts District (lots of breweries)
Golf
Shoot some guns in the desert.
Check out a few local casinos

My favorite off strip place to eat. They have 1/2 price steaks and apps, which already adds to the great food.

Race a supercar around the track a few times, shoot fully automatic guns, off-road vehicle tours in the desert (SUV’s and ATV’s) - there is sooo much to do around Vegas.

EDIT - Dang it @knash , you beat me to it!

@Hally–convince @josecgomez to let me expense a few extra nights in the hotel and I’ll bring my gear and take you out climbing in Red Rocks. Much more fun than staring up at them like some… hiker.

I have a phobia about dying, not to mention I’m lucky enough to climb out of bed in the morning let alone attempting the Night Crawler . Thanks for the offer.

@josecgomez give @hmwillett few extra days in Vegas… not sure if that helps @hmwillett

If you do want to go to hoover damn and redrock, but you don’t want to take a bus tour (cause yuck) I recommend renting a car, and then using this app to guide you through the tour. You can rent a car right at the hotel, then you connect your phone to the bluetooth in the car. You get directions, and a self paced tour. When we did it a couple of years ago, we rented the car in the morning, left right from the hotel, and then dropped it off that night. Didn’t have to pay for parking anywhere and it was great.

We’ve done these tours in Banff Banada and for Las Vegas. They are great, very interesting, and lead to some thing that you would never have discovered otherwise. Start and stop wherever and whenever you want, and it just picks up where you left off. Each tour only costs about $10. So you can rent a car for less than $70 a day. If you have more than just yourself, it’s a hell of a deal.
