Installing OE 10.2A on Windows Server 2012

I am on progress and I just want to use it as an Admin console to do a dump and load.

Thanks.

it's not supported, especially with an SQL DB.

I forget the actual, detailed answer, but MS changed some things in 2012 and are no longer supporting components that OpenEdge requires to make the connections and work. 10.2A(and earlier, and some later) is not supported on 2012, not even by Progress. OE 10.2x was retired back in 2011.

Getting a few errors and EPICOR Support states they don’t have any answer books for me.

I was trying to do something similar but on Windows 10.
I was able to get Progress 10.2A installed an patched but had problems with installing the Epicor application.
I ended up installing VirtualBox and setup a Windows 2008 R2 server and all is good.
