Inventory issues in 6.0

I have a Report Builder report for 6.0 I can share. It looks at the
PartTrans table and applies a conditional print to lines with the
following transaction criteria: PrintValue=IIF(TranClass = "A" Or
TranDate < 01/01/06,0,1) This means the report only prints parts that
have not had meaningful transactions since Jan 1 2006. You can change
the date to suit your requirements. Send me an email off-line and I'll
send you the report.

The method I adopt is to download through ODBC both a Stock Report list
and also a transaction list picking out 'STK-CUS','STK-MTL',INS-STK'
transactions, this should cover both buying and selling of product.

Sort your Transaction list by part number and then Transaction date
descending (you obviously need to pick these out of your extract), If
you then do a lookup from your stock list to the transaction report the
'look up' will pick up the latest date that a product was transacted.

You can then adopt an obsolete stock policy based on the results. If
your stock list is big filter your obdc reports by part class.

Its a bit of a pain but it does work!

Just the Inventory Usage Report. It tells you the last time something
was used.

Is there a report to identify unused and obsolete inventory?
