Inventory moves greater than quantity available issue

MaterialQueue.Update

We are controlling MFG-STK transactions because all too often our
inventory was being evaluated by receiving jobs to stock that didn't
have operations finished, materials issued etc etc...we don't like
variance accounts, and at the speed stuff moves through our plant, using
average costing, those parts were all too often shipped and the normal
on hand value being zero our costs were always hosed. This has been
hugely successful for us. The process actually looks for a user defined
checkbox on the jobheader before it allows the move to inventory (which
got there from another BPM that monitors the job completion/closing
form).

I have BPM controlling inventory transactions in our AMM module and that
all driven by handhelds here in our facility.

Ed,

We wrote a BPM to accomplish this, but it demands very accurate data
entry in order to work properly (we're also using Lot Tracking). We have
the BPM on the Part.Update business object, and if the
PartBinInfo.OnHandQty field goes negative, the transaction stops.

Sounds like a candidate for a BPM or set of BPMs.
