Have you tried using Invoice Entry in developer mode. Maybe your
ARInvoiceEntry.dll is corrupted. I could send you a copy of our
ARInvoiceEntry.dll You could rename your .dll and copy mine to the
folder to see if it still behaves the same way. We're on the same
version of Vantage.

Also, did you clear out the folder in... C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Application Data\Epicor\Vantage Log out of Vantage on any
client PC. Clear out anything that resides in this path. Then log back
into Vantage and try Invoice Entry again.

Have you looked at server activity when this happens?

Are you an SQL backend or a Progress Back End? I am going to guess that you
are a SQL backend.

What happens to your appservers when this happens? I would suspect that they
all become busy and your server starts to create the maximum number allowed
and they all become busy and sit there apparently doing nothing.

First thing you need to do is setup your MfgSys803 appserver for verbose
logging, Set these up on the AGENT, not the BROKER, and make sure you setup
a log file threshold size, I like 5000000 for a size personally, and I
usually put the max number of server log files at something like 10, this
will prevent an infinite number of logs from being created.

When you have a crash, make sure you copy all the logs somewhere before you
restart the appservers, otherwise you run the risk of losing those logs.

If you have this done prior to calling support for anything, since this is
going to be one of the first things they want you to do.

If my suspision and guess from the start of this is correct, then you likely
have some sort of lock that is being created and causing the hangup, first
thing you need to do is cut off anyone and everything that is not your
Vantage server that is using an ODBC connection.
