We have InfoWorker and we are hoping that it is as useful as we think it
will be.

I was not with Mats when the initial purchase of Epicor and the
associated modules were purchased but I've been told that one of the
main features that InfoWorker was purchased for was to connect the sales
force to Epicor by way of Outlook.

For example:

* One way sync of customers and contacts from Epicor to Outlook

* Link tasks, notes, etc to and from Outlook to Epicor. Two-way
sync

* Linking Emails from Outlook to Epicor

I'll be cracking open the manuals for Portal and InfoWorker this week
but I wanted to check to see what other people's experiences are with it
and if the above bullets are possible.

Hi,

Can you confirm if the 905 version of IW is able to work with more than
one company at the same time? Apparently the version for 904 is unable
to do so and we do not yet have 905 installed to test.

Thanks

Also, IW is supposed to work with Updatable BAQs and I hear there's an
issue with those until 601B. Anyone working with IW without the SQL
Portal piece?

Thanks!

Mark W.
Mark,
we are on 905.600C and are using IW for Customers, Contacts and CRM calls.
From the updatable prospective all is working great and performance compared to Portal is 100% better.
The IW client has some issues with creating CRM logs for outgoing emails but that is corrected in 601
I have not created my own business Entity and set it up with up datable BAQs -

Let me know if you need any more information
thanks

Motty

BTW, in terms of Epicor features we are using the following:
Core
MES
Mobile Access
Search
IW
Epicor Anywhere
Service connect was on 803 and I have yet to move it
and trying to get SSRS working - have it working with non-epicor reports but have not managed to get the integration going
