Is it common to have two servers in AppServer pool always in sen

Hi

is it not just some scheduled tasks that you or another user have set up?

We have two that always run and if you trace the PIDs to the system monitor
(display all user tasks), it is the scheduled tasks.

Subject: [Vantage] Is it common to have two servers in AppServer pool always in
sending state?

Â
Whenever I start up my main AppServer, I will end up with two servers that
always show sending, and will generally not show any activity to or from those
particular servers (as evidenced by the last change time). It'll be that way
forever, if I let it.

Does anyone else notice this? Is this unusual?

This is extremely common.

If you look at your system monitor, I would guess you have global alerts and
something like Multi-company running. Both of these processes will take hold
of an AppServer when they start and they will then never release it.

You can compare the PID in the PET Status window with the PID in the System
monitor and they should line up to be the same.

Yes. For example our PLM Process continually runs and eats up an
appserver.
