# Is there a way to paste a screenshot into a topic?

I cannot figure out how to paste a screenshot in a new topic.

Simply put the cursor in the text box where you type your post and paste (Ctrl+V or Right click ...)

It will display as HTML in your post, but preview in the preview pane

The first image above was made by pasting a snippet of a screen shot (and I added the red squiggles)

The seconds is an image of what my screen looked like after "pasting", but before posting.

P.S. Use the Windows Snipping tool to get just the area of the screen you want.
