Is There A Way To See Last Time That Part Was Transacted On?

Hello All,

I’m looking to update our ABC codes, but some of our parts that should have been included in cycle counts were not because the previous admin thought they were either obsolete or out of circulation. I am curious if there is a table that can be me information on the last time a part was transacted on?

Purchased parts - last time it was used or shipped
Manufactured parts - last time it was manufactured.

Thanks!

PartTran You can see the data from Part Transaction History Tracker

Thank you!

You can run Calculate ABC codes to get an idea what Epicor would set and then adjust from there.

Calculate ABC Codes

Calculate ABC Codes

You use the Calculate ABC Code process to automatically run stock valuation calculations, produce a report that displays suggested ABC code assignments, and optionally assign ABC codes to part records in the warehouses linked to selected sites. You normally run this process before you process cycle and physical inventory counts. If you do not use cycle counting for inventory count processing, you do not need to run this process.

Note: Because this program is a process, you can assign it to a schedule. The process then runs automatically each time the application launches the schedule. For more information, review the Automatic Scheduling section in the Epicor ERP Implementation Guide reference.

Menu Path: Material Management > Inventory Management > General Operations > Calculate ABC Codes

Is there a way to set up the ABC Code calculation process to use frequency of use, instead of inventory value to assign ABC codes to parts? Every time we use this calculation method, it assigns A codes to parts we rarely use because they are highly valued. The parts with the most usage are the ones we want to count since they are frequently handled and have the highest probability of error.

Well, I have been setting the minABC thinking that was doing what materials wanted with a spreadsheet they send me and it does move things up from where Epicor would but I just checked and we have some of the same D’s that got set as A’s.

I am going to run a test of manually setting them by DMT.

I think that the Cycle Count system might be the only places I might actually write a BASE method directive: setting ABC codes and part selection.

I did it in 23.2 Kinetic and it was better. I did not have to make the cycle, close the screen, click my heels, open the screen to see the part selections.

Setting manualABC to true and SystemABC to what I wanted worked. I did have to clear all old codes out first.
