Small Shop �IT Manager� / Systems Administrator, Direct Hire Role in the Charleston, SC area.
- - Looking for someone who �does it all (wears a lot of hats)�, especially someone from a small shop�
- SQL / SQL server
- Microsoft Server 2003
- Active Directory
Must have experience with Microsoft Server 2003, Active Directory, LAN and SQL/SQL Server. Must be able to install new software releases and system upgrades, evaluates and install patches, and resolve software related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure date integrity.
� To act as IT Project resource on all business projects for the company.
� To liaise with the company�s stakeholders to provide them with the information they require from the Information Systems within the Company.
� Manage the existing IT systems to ensure reliable availability of resource to the site users.
� To implement new systems within a strategy of Continuous Improvement to drive the company forward.
� To manage the Windows-based environment and support a user base of about 25 users.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Develop a thorough understanding of the business systems in place, improving technical skills using the business ERP system.
- Analyse and document business processes, identifying areas for improvement.
- Liaise with key stakeholders throughout the business to produce requirements/functional specifications for Information Systems
- Manage the implementation of new Information Systems, ensuring all projects follow recognised project methodologies for all stages of the systems life cycle
- Produce regular and ad-hoc operational reports and management information to meet specified information requirements.
- Act as the main point of contact between project stakeholders, the IT department and external suppliers.
- Network Administration: Users, workstations, phone system, with the support of Group IT department and external support.
- Users and departments IT support, on hardware and software issues.
No direct reports at this time.
- Take a lead role in managing IT projects to ensure implementation, testing and development are all carried out efficiently and effectively.
- Provide non-IT project teams with advice and support as required.
- Call in and manage additional IT resources, internal (Group Network Administrator) or external, as and when required.
Education and/or Experience:
A bachelor's degree in a related area with at least 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
