We have quitea few jobs in our job closing exception tracker which we’ve not really looked at too closely previousy. Having a quick scan down, we seem to be encountering the following four messages:
No estimated operation quantity available.
This Job has parts in WIP.
This Job has an active labor transaction.
This job has a labor transaction that has not been approved.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing each of these? When I look into specific jobs, I can’t see that the job does have any parts in WIP.
We see all of these errors too, but I personally only know how to fix the active/unapproved labor transactions.
For these, you need to figure out which Employee’s have active labor transactions on these jobs, then run user run conversions 630 and 660 for those employees (You run these from the “Conversion Workbench” module). The conversions will show you all the active transactions an employee has, and you can end them accordingly. This process also approves these labor transactions.
A BAQ can be set up to show you what employees have active labor transactions.
I know we see a lot of those other errors due to Serial Number issues (SN assigned to job is still in WIP but the job says complete). Do you use Serial Numbers on these problem jobs?
