I know that the labor note in job cost adjustment cannot be edited ..
so I create a UD on laborDtl and added a new field on the form .. i can access it and type in it.. but it’s not beiing saved.. no expert in app studio.. doing this every so an so..
did the test via the preview.. do I need to puublish it for it to work ?
I think the problem is that Job Adjustment uses a temporary dataset and data table.
The LaborView dataview is tied to a JobAdjustment dataset and a JALaborDtl Data Table. These aren’t database tables.
When you save a Job Adjustment, it uses the CommitLaborAdj rest call and that creates a new LaborDtl record. So, binding your custom field within LaborView isn’t going to natively transfer it with the predefined dataset when it creates that new LaborDtl record.
You need to find a way to carry the value into the CommitLaborAdj rest call and then use a BPM to add the value to the newly created LaborDtl row to write that value to the LaborDtl record it creates.
When you save a job/labor adjustment… can you see in debugger if your LaborDtl UD column is passed along with the JALaborDtl dataset in the CommitLaborAdj call?
It may be passing the value, but there’s nothing in the rest method to map it to the correct LaborDtl column. If it IS being passed, a BPM should be able to see the changed JALaborDtl row and map the value to the correct LaborDtl column.
